FRESH from collecting an astonishing three gold medals at the World Masters Rowing Championship in Germany, Kenny McDonald (Shannon RC) was a member of the Irish Rugby Legends Team that has just set a new world record time for 100,000m.
Along with his colleagues, which included clubmate Brian Collins, Ireland set a new standard of 4 hours and 49 minutes, shaving 10 minutes of the previous record set by Italy in 2020.
In the process, a commendable Є10,000 was raised for the IRFU Charitable Trust, which supports injured players.
