Four Limerick companies honoured as Ireland’s Best Managed Companies

FOUR Limerick companies have been awarded as some of Ireland’s best managed companies at a recent awards ceremony.

The four Limerick companies were among 13 across Ireland to receive the accolade from Deloitte, who host the Ireland’s Best Managed Companies programme.

H&MV Engineering, Mowlam Healthcare, Roches Feeds, and Samco Agricultural Manufacturing were all honoured at the awards.

Mowlam Healthcare was awarded for the first time at the awards, while H&MV Engineering achieved the gold standard status having won for the fourth consecutive year.

Brian Murphy, lead partner for Ireland’s Best Managed Companies Awards Programme said that the awards aim to celebrate the success of indigenous Irish businesses.

“The Irish economic growth story has been extraordinary, and we see this evidenced in the success of Irish indigenous businesses and the confidence shown by Best Managed Companies. Ensuring Ireland’s entrepreneurs and the companies they start get the support they need to grow and scale is crucial,” Mr Murphy said.

Cathy Bryce, Managing Director of AIB Capital Markets, one of the new sponsors of some of Ireland’s Best Managed Companies said that AIB is proud to support Irish companies.

“AIB is proud to be the new lead sponsors of Ireland’s Best Managed companies. One of AIB’s core ambitions is to support Irish companies and their management teams in sustainable growth and development, something which is fully aligned with the goals of the BMC programme,” Ms Bryce said.

A total of 116 companies re-qualified as a Best Managed Company. 19 of these achieved Gold Standard (four years as a BMC) and 12 achieved Platinum Standard (seven years as a BMC).
