WITH no resolution between the LDL (Limerick District League) and both Referees’ Branches, all fixtures were again cancelled at the weekend.
The dispute relates to concerns by the referees in relation to the match day/spectator set-up at some grounds with astro pitches and the roping off of grass pitches.
There will be no resumption in action “until a complete resolution is agreed between all parties.”
In the hopeful event of a resolution, there is a scheduled full round of fixtures in the Munster Junior Cup, including a couple of tasty matches on Saturday (7pm): Fairview Rangers v Aisling Annacotty and Regional United v Pike Rovers.
