Limerick’s U12s to ‘kick it’ with Rugby Legend Johnny Sexton at the International Rugby Experience

Johnny Sexton returns to the International Rugby Experience on Nov 1st to meet Limerick U12 Rugby Players.
The International Rugby Experience is delighted to welcome some of Limerick’s Under 12 club rugby players to the O’Connell St venue to meet Johnny Sexton, when the former Irish captain visits the city for an ‘in conversation’ event at the Lime Tree Theatre on Friday November 1st.

One child from the Under 12 age group of each of Limerick’s rugby clubs will be invited to come along, with Johnny putting them through their paces at the kicking interactive on the ‘Legendary Skills floor’. Meeting the record-breaking points scorer will no doubt be a dream come true for these young rugby players, and having the opportunity to gain some tips and insights from him will be a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Having first visited the International Rugby Experience for the venue’s opening in May 2023, the 2018 World Rugby Player of the Year is back in Limerick for Johnny Sexton | A Munster Invitation – a live ‘in conversation’ evening, presented by I.NY, and hosted by Denis Walsh, chief sportswriter with the Irish Times.

On the eve of the All Blacks XV facing Munster in Thomond Park, the evening will celebrate Johnny’s family connections in Limerick, Kerry and across the province, and explore his unique relationship with Munster Rugby, and the players with whom he shared the field for Ireland and the Lions.
Rugby clubs will be contacted directly to nominate their Under 12 player.
