TALENTED oarsman Kenny McDonald (Shannon RC) captured an astonishing three gold medals at the World Masters Rowing Championship in Brandenburg, Germany.
The current World Indoor Lightweight champion over 500m and 2km was a member of the Irish Masters Men’s 8+ Crew which swept to the famous wins.
Ireland faced stiff opposition at the weekend.
Meanwhile, McDonald is attempting to break the 100,000m World Record with the Irish Rugby Legends at the end of the month. The event is a fundraiser of the IRFU Charitable Trust.
