THE IRISH Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS) is calling on Limerick locals to save lives by donating blood at upcoming clinics.

Drop by Caherdavin Greenhills Hotel on September 30 or October 1 (4.20 pm – 7.40 pm) or Limerick Greyhound Stadium on Wednesday 2nd October (4.50 pm –8.10 pm).

With demand for blood up 6 per cent this year, the IBTS needs 15,000 new donors in 2024—especially those with D-negative blood types (which include A, B, and O negative).

New donors are specifically encouraged to participate and help protect the 200 patients who receive blood in Irish hospitals every day.

Book your appointment by calling 1800 222 111 knowing your donation could save a life.
