Emma Rawicz Quartet – Belltable. Limerick Jazz Festival: Since her critically acclaimed debut album, ‘Incantation’, Emma Rawicz’s international career has flourished, playing in over 15 countries, with extensive tours in Germany and Scandinavia in particular. In 2023 she made her label debut with one of the most important jazz labels in the world today, ACT, releasing her album “Chroma” to international acclaim, notably with the album being selected as the Guardian Album of the Month.
Benjamin Boone’s Confluence Band – Dolans. American saxophonist and composer Benjamin Boone’s Boone, a Professor of Music at California State University Fresno, came to collaborate with this all-star band of John Daly (drums), Joe O’Callaghan (guitar), Dan Bodwell (bass) and JaYne (voice) while serving a U.S. Fulbright Scholar at the University of Limerick’s Irish World Academy of Music and Dance in 2022-23. This show features tunes created for the newly recorded album Confluence : including “The Clash of the Ash,” “She Moved Through the Fair,” and “On the Banks of the Shannon,”and other great new compositions.
Five To Two – The Record Room. Prima Volta Presents a Jass Festival Special: Five to Two are a Dublin jazz trio consisting of Matthew Breen (piano), Jonah Byrne (double bass) and Finn Mac Anna (drums). They have become known for their engaging live shows; performing with their signature clash of pure nostalgia and infectious energy.

Family Fabric Workshop with Olga Anacka: The circle of life – Belltable. Presented by Polish Arts Festival: This workshop investigates the human figure and how it may be changing over the years for both males and females.
Laboratorium Pieśni | Song Laboratory – Belltable. 7pm – Female group of singers from Poland, created in 2013. Using traditional, polyphonic singing they perform songs from all over the world, mainly: Ukraine, Balkans, Belarus, Georgia, Scandinavia, Poland and many other places.

Yukine Kuroki in Concert – University Concert Hall. Yukine Kuroki has won numerous prestigious competitions, including the Liszt Utrecht and Dublin Piano Competitions (2022), and third prize at the Rubinstein Competition (2023). She has performed at world-renowned venues such as Concertgebouw Amsterdam and with leading orchestras, including the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.
Andreas Varady Trio – Dolans. Contemporary jazz guitarist of Hungarian gypsy descent, raised in Limerick and currently based in Vienna.

IFI Screening: Mrs Robinson – Belltable. Directed by Aoife Kelleher. To this day, Mrs Robinson exerts power and leadership as the Chair of The Elders; the independent group of global leaders (founded by Nelson Mandela) who work for peace, justice and human rights. As an influential global voice, Mary Robinson is also spearheading Project Dandelion: a women-led climate justice campaign.

Art of Believing – Flamenco – University Concert Hall. The production Art of Believing recently won the prestigious Herald Angel Award and is bursting with truly stunning flamenco music, bringing to Limerick the passion and fire of Andalucia. Composer and flamenco guitarist Daniel Martinez presents his unique musical production, where the audience will enjoy a rich variety of flamenco styles; from the intense emotion of a Seguiriya to the joyful sounds of an Alegria.
Martin Mcaloon of Prefab Sprout – Dolans. He’ll be revisiting the repertoire written by his brother Paddy, that stretches back through the classic Prefab Sprout albums: Swoon, Steve McQueen, Protest Songs, Langley Park to Memphis, Jordan: The Comeback, Let’s Change the World With Music, Andromeda Heights, The Gunman and Other Stories, I Trawl The Megahertz and Crimson / Red.
