Emma Rawicz QuartetBelltable. Limerick Jazz Festival: Since her critically acclaimed debut album, ‘Incantation’,  Emma ​Rawicz’s international career has flourished, playing in over 15 countries, with extensive tours in Germany and Scandinavia in particular. In 2023 she made her label debut with one of the most important jazz labels in the world today, ACT, releasing her album “Chroma” to international acclaim, notably with the album being selected as the Guardian Album of the Month.

American saxophonist and composer Benjamin Boone’s Boone, a Professor of Music at California State University Fresno, came to collaborate with this all-star band of John Daly (drums), Joe O’Callaghan (guitar), Dan Bodwell (bass) and JaYne (voice) while serving a U.S. Fulbright Scholar at the University of Limerick’s Irish World Academy of Music and Dance in 2022-23. This show features tunes created for the newly recorded album Confluence : including “The Clash of the Ash,” “She Moved Through the Fair,” and “On the Banks of the Shannon,”and other great new compositions.

Yukine Kuroki in Concert – University Concert Hall.  Yukine Kuroki has won numerous prestigious competitions, including the Liszt Utrecht and Dublin Piano Competitions (2022), and third prize at the Rubinstein Competition (2023). She has performed at world-renowned venues such as Concertgebouw Amsterdam and with leading orchestras, including the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.

Andreas Varady TrioDolans. Contemporary jazz guitarist of Hungarian gypsy descent, raised in Limerick and currently based in Vienna.

IFI Screening: Mrs RobinsonBelltable. Directed by Aoife Kelleher. To this day, Mrs Robinson exerts power and leadership as the Chair of The Elders; the independent group of global leaders (founded by Nelson Mandela) who work for peace, justice and human rights. As an influential global voice, Mary Robinson is also spearheading Project Dandelion: a women-led climate justice campaign.
