Dineen leads Munster to Inter-pro Success

UNDER the superb captaincy of Limerickโ€™s Darren Dineen (Ardagh), Munster are again All-Ireland Wheelchair Hurling/Camogie Championship winners.

It came courtesy of an impressive final win over Leinster at SETU Carlow.

Played on a blitz format, the southern province were very deserving champions, recording victories over the three other provinces, namely Ulster (6-1 to 1-5), Leinster (8 to 4) and Connacht (4-1).

In the decider, Munster again beat Leinster 5-0 to 0-1 to retain the title.

Munster: Kieran Bennis, Steven Casey, Darren Dineen, Cormac Downey, Sean Hassett, Cian Horgan, Sultan Kakar, Paul Kelly, James McCarthy, Edel Morrissey, Maurice Noonan, Caroline Oโ€™Halloran, Gary Oโ€™Halloran and Ellie Sheehy.

The side was jointly coached by John Carey and Dave Fitzgerald.
