Expansion planned as fitness wearable company opens Limerick office

Limerick Twenty Thirty's offices at Gardens International on Henry Street.

WHOOP, the wearable health and fitness manufacturers has officially opened a new office at the Gardens International site.

WHOOP is based out of Boston, Massachusetts and produces technology that tracks science-backed metrics that matter including heart rate variability, resting heart rate, and respiratory rate.

Valued at approximately $3.6 billion, WHOOP already has a strong Irish contingent across their teams, including AVP of Membership Services, Tina Stokes.

Speaking at the opening of the office on Friday in Limerick, Tina said that WHOOP’s “team and the people that work at WHOOP truly are the cornerstones to our success. We’ve been operating and recruiting from Ireland for almost four years and we haven’t looked back since. We’re delighted to now be able to provide a central hub in Ireland. 

Developed by Limerick Twenty Thirty, a special purpose vehicle of Limerick City and County Council, the multi award winning Gardens International in the heart of Limerick City on Henry Street, the new base offers easy access to public transportation, dining, and other amenities for the WHOOP team.

This central location was carefully selected to provide convenience for all employees, attract highly skilled staff from the surrounding Munster region, according to the company. 

The office space is designed with future growth in mind, allowing room for expansion over time. This new office will serve as the hub for the dedicated membership services team at WHOOP.
