Mungret St Paul's captain John Hutton in possession of the Intermediate Cup last season. He will be hoping to get his hands on the Senior Cup this year.

THE line-up for the knock-out stages of the Limerick Senior Football Championship was completed following the final round of fixtures in the group stages at the weekend.

Through to the semi-finals as Group One and Two winners are Mungret St Paul’s and holders Newcastle West.

Mungret kept up a 100 per cent record in the competition with a 1-9 to 0-4 defeat of St Kieran’s, a contest in which solid captain John Hutton contributed four quality points to bring his campaign return onto 2-16.

NCW preserved their unbeaten run with an easy 1-11 to 1-3 win over Ballysteen, an outing in which the ever-impressive Emmet Rigter grabbed 1-2.

The quarter-final pairings are Adare v Galtee Gaels and Fr Casey’s v Na Piarsaigh, with both those fixtures pencilled-in for the weekend after next.
