A LIMERICK student set the gold standard at the recent Digital Media Awards.
Clodagh Henderson was given the gold award as the Digital Marketing Student of the Year at the awards ceremony this past week.
The Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) student was among three students from the Limerick university that took home awards on the night.
Clodagh is a Kilkenny native and is a student on the Masters in Digital Marketing and Analytics programme at TUS. While working as a marketing executive with Kilkenny Design, Clodagh helped deliver a strategic social media campaign aimed at attracting 18 to 24-year-olds.
Shruti Nadagouda, another Moylish campus-based student was awarded Silver in the same category.
Completing the hat trick for TUS, the Bronze Award went to Yinxin Li from the university’s Athlone campus for her work with Midlandjobs.ie.
This year’s victory continues the winning streak for TUS, which has produced a Digital Student of the Year winner four years in a row.
Gold winner Clodagh Henderson said she was “so excited to have won such a prestigious award for my work with Kilkenny Design”.
“I’m very passionate about digital marketing and I’m so grateful to have started my career on such a high. I can’t wait to see what the future brings.”
Kilkenny Design CEO Evelyn Moynihan said that the company “are super proud of our Kilkenny Design colleague Clodagh Henderson winning the Digital Marketing Student of the Year at the Digital Media Awards. Clodagh is a rising star in our business, and her work on our social media channels is really shining through.”
Masters in Digital Marketing and Analytics programme leader at TUS Rachel Walsh lauded the three students’ successes, saying the university is “proud to have developed an award-winning master’s programme that delivers such high caliber graduates into a very competitive job market. We had a record seven nominations this year and that is a testament to the lecturing team who deliver the programme.”
