Susan’s new single “Rewire” seamlessly blends an industrial pulse with an indie pop energy, delivering a powerful message of recovery after loss. It serves as an ode to grief and the act of starting anew. Through her lyrics, Susan captures a universal journey, leaving listeners with the poignant refrain, “Maybe I’ll try and hold embrace it, Maybe I’ll try and stand and face it.” These affirmations come to life in the accompanying music video, shot by Susan during her summer tour in Germany and edited by visual collaborator Christopher Luke.

Speaking about the song, Susan shared: “‘Rewire’ begins in a place of emptiness—born from sadness, loss, and grief. It explores the contradictions of recovery, where you feel lost but still search for a new beginning, a way to rebuild. There’s a certain chaos in those conflicting emotions—finding power in despair and strength in the turmoil of renewal.”

“Rewire” is part of Susan’s upcoming album “Now In A Minute,” a follow-up to her 2021 collaboration with Mick Flannery, In The Game, which was nominated for the Choice Music Prize and won RTE 1’s Best Folk Album of the Year. It was also the best-selling independent Irish album of the year. “Now In A Minute” features several co-writes with Mick, marking their reunion on this latest record.
