The Limerick Court Complex in Mulgrave Street

A WOMAN arrested in connection with a seizure of €85,000 worth of suspected cocaine, heroin, and cannabis, along with €19,000 cash, was charged and granted bail at Limerick District Court.

Gardaí brought Eleanor Nevin (33), of High Street, Birr, County Offaly, before the court this Monday (September 16).

Ms Nevin was charged with one count of possession of cocaine with intent to sell or supply, contrary to Section 15 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.

She was also charged with one count of simple possession of cocaine, contrary to Section 3 of the Act.

Ms Nevin is alleged to have had the drugs in her possession at Lower Shelbourne Road in Limerick City on Sunday last Sunday (September 15).

The court heard that Ms Nevin made no reply when Gardaí charged her with the two offences.

Bail was sought by Ms Nevin’s solicitor, Sarah Ryan, which the State consented to.

The accused and an unidentified male were arrested as part of a Garda intelligence-led operation which led to the weekend drugs seizure.

Ms Nevin was remanded on bail to appear before Limerick District Court for directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions on January 8, 2025.
