AHEAD of the season opener against Connacht in the URC at Thomond Park on Saturday (5.30pm), there is welcome news on the injury front for Munster.

Jean Kleyn (eye) and Ethan Coughlan (leg) have both returned to full training, coach Graham Rowntree confirmed in an update.

Kleyn returns having missed the majority of last season while Coughlan has recovered from an injury sustained against Bath last month.

Liam Coombes and Jack Daly will look to complete the return to play protocols with a view to a full return to training this week.

The duo were both removed following head injuries against Gloucester in Cork.
