THE Alzheimer Society of Ireland’s (ASI) fifth annual Memory Walk is set to take place on Shannonside later this month.
Limerick’s own Séan Donal O’Shea will lead the local walk at Mungret Park, which kicks off from 11am on September 22.
Last year’s walk raised over €120,000 for the charity, which helps support people with dementia across the country.
There are 64,000 people living with dementia in Ireland, the ASI said, predicting the number of people with the condition will double in the next 25 years to over 150,000.
