RUNNERS, walkers, and those who enjoy a bit of family fun are invited today (Sunday 15) to Grove Rugby Club in Abbeyfeale to support Axel Horgan, a brave young boy battling Cloves Syndrome, a rare condition requiring extensive medical care and treatment.

The club is hosting a 5km run and 2km walk as part of a bigger family fun day, with over 30 stands, including raffles, motorbike displays, Viking battles, tug of war, and much more.

Anyone registering for the run/walk will gain free entry to the fun day. All proceeds will directly support Axel’s care, and organisers say that involvement will make a real difference in his life.

In addition, there’s a chance to win a €300 Smyths Toy Superstore voucher for all registered participants.

“Your support, no matter how big or small, will help us reach our fundraising goal and give Axel the treatments he needs,” organisers said.
