Justin Herbert Ltd was founded 42 years ago by Justin Herbert and his late wife Caroline; and was initially run from their family home in Fairyfield Parteen, Co. Clare. Caroline took the orders by phone and did the accounts while Justin looked after sales, purchasing and delivery.
Justin remembers his first order for 4,000 pounds came from a solicitor in Abbeyfeale who wanted to revamp his office and filing system; and knowing he had just started, paid him up front which meant that he did not need an overdraft to get going.
After six months, as the business was growing well, Justin was getting great support from Limerick and Shannon firms, which resulted in the company moving to No 2 The Crescent. ‘We have been trading in the Crescent for over 40 years using separate storage units for furniture supplies – and by moving to our new location at The Docklands Business Park we are able to join the two sections of our business and therefore give a faster order turn around and even better service to our customers,’ said Justin
Justin has lived in Limerick all his life and played Soccer with some local clubs and rugby with Crescent College where he was educated with his late brother Dudley a well-known rugby coach.
Justin Herbert Ltd offers a full range of supply, assembly and delivery services to all their clients in Ireland; mainly working with schools, companies and public service organisations.
“I am fortunate that work with two members of my family; Georgina and Justin Jnr are now directors of the company”.
Georgina has graduated from the University of Limerick and is the Marketing Director and also Director of Caroline Herbert Stamps, which she founded 4 years ago to commemorate her late mother. The company supplies bespoke stamps to all clients in Ireland, NI and the UK.
Justin Jnr graduated from University College Galway and is the Sales Director of Office Interiors and the Accounts Manager where he manages the suppliers of office furniture including executive furniture, conference furniture, canteen furniture and complete factory office fitouts.
My eldest son, Robert, runs a printing and binding company from our Docklandsbusiness premises. The Print Doctor which encompasses all aspect of printing and Thesis Bind which incorporates printing and binding of thesis for colleges throughout Ireland.
