Limerick Council bid for two-in-a-row Local Authority of the Year awards

Limerick City and County Council is once again in the running for the prestigious Local Authority of the Year award, having also won last year.

LIMERICK City and County Council has once again been shortlisted for Local Authority of the Year at the prestigious Chambers Ireland Excellence in Local Government Awards. 

The Council secured the prestigious title just last year, taking home the award for 2023.

The award recognises the Council’s extensive work in promoting Limerick as a positive, inclusive, and sustainable place to live, work, visit, and invest.

Six Limerick City and County Council projects have also been shortlisted for awards in 2024, including Limerick Migrant Integration Forum, Riverfest 2024, Living Again, Limerick Regional Athletics Hub, Building Economic Resilience in Housing, and GoGreenRoutes.

The awards will be presented on November 21 at a ceremony in Dublin.
