A PAST pupil of Coláiste Mhuire Askeaton has returned to the school as its new deputy principal.

Andrew McNamara has been announced as the new deputy head of the school by Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board, bringing over 18 years of experience to the role.

Mr McNamara said “I have remained firmly rooted in the community that Coláiste Mhuire, Askeaton serves.

“Being appointed to a leadership role in any school is a privileged position, but to be entrusted with the responsibility of leading at a school I attended and that ignited my passion for learning, is the greatest honour,” he said.
