A LIMERICK law firm has announced that it is to merge with a Dublin-based commercial law practice.
Holmes O’Malley Sexton, based on Henry Street in Limerick City, announced that it will merge with Dublin commercial law firm OCWM Law.
The new deal will mean that clients of both firms will be able to call upon a wider range of legal services and expertise, with more resources and capacity.
The merger will come into effect on October 1, with Holes O’Malley Sexton maintaining its base in Limerick, while also significantly increasing its footprint in Dublin.
A statement from the Henry Street legal firm said that the merger is based on its “commitment to the provision of quality legal services with the same flexibility and personable style that clients have come to expect through the delivery of innovative, pragmatic and commercial solutions”.
The expanded firm will have a staff of more than 150 people, making it one of the largest law firms in the Mid West, offering legal services to both the corporate and private sectors.
Harry Fehily, managing partner of Holmes O’Malley Sexton, said that the merger is an “exciting time” for both firms.
