Limerick house prices skyrocket again, CSO figures show

HOUSE prices across the city and county of Limerick have skyrocketed in the 12 months up to the end of this past June, according to data released by the Central Statistics Office (CSO).

Data from the national stats body showed that homes in Limerick, on average, were 12 per cent more expensive this past June than in June 2023.

On a national level, the CSO said that property prices nationwide now stand almost 11 per cent higher than during the property boom peak in April 2007.

House prices in nearby Clare and Tipperary also rose by 12 per cent, with prices in Dublin rising by 9.3 per cent on the previous year.

The median price of a new home purchased in June 2024, according to the CSO, was €337,500.
