A MAN is to appear before Limerick District Court this Thursday morning in connection with a seizure of drugs, cash, and firearms in the county earlier this week.
Gardaí this morning confirmed that a man in his 30s is due to appear before Limerick District Court after 10.30am this morning in connection with a planned search operation that took place in County Limerick this past Tuesday morning (September 3).
Gardaí earlier this week said that a man had been arrested and drugs and a firearm seized following Tuesday morning’s raid.
€6,500 of suspected cocaine, as well as €2,600 of suspected cannabis, €1,125 in cash, and drug paraphernalia were discovered during the course of the search.
Gardaí also found a submachine gun and a quantity of ammunition during the search.
The Garda operation involved the Limerick Divisional Drugs Unit, Mayorstone uniform personnel, Mayorstone Crime Unit, and assistance from the Armed Support Unit and the regional Dog Unit.
The man will appear before the courts in Limerick City this morning.
