New appointment in Greyhound Racing

Pat Flanagan, new chairman of Greyhound Racing Ireland.

AGRICULTURE Minister Charlie McConalogue has confirmed Pat Flanagan, a native of Feoghanagh, as the new Chairman of Limerick-headquartered Rásaíocht Con Eireann (Greyhound Racing Ireland).

Mr Flanagan, a veterinary surgeon based in Tipperary, had been a board member since 2020 and succeeds Frank Nyhan.

The sport’s CEO Tim Lucey commented: “We warmly welcome Pat to his new role as Chairman. His commitment will undoubtedly help to drive RCÉ forward. We also extend our thanks to Frank for his leadership and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
