Five Limerick bars honoured at Bar of the Year Awards

FIVE Limerick bars were honoured with awards at this year’s national Bar of the Year Awards.

Popular bar Mother Mac’s on High Street was crowned with the silver award for Whiskey Bar of the Year, the best result of all the Limerick bars who took home gongs on the night.

Jerry Flannery’s and 1313 were given the bronze award in the Best Bar to Watch the Match in category, while Treaty City Brewery were honoured with the bronze award for Craft Bar of the Year.

In the Local Bar of the Year category, Whelan’s Bar in Newcastle West was awarded the bronze, while the Locke Bar also took a bronze award in the Tourist Bar of the Year category.

The Bar of the Year Awards aim to showcase Ireland’s best bars across a range of categories, as well as celebrating their extraordinary contributions to the hospitality industry.

“These establishments have elevated the art of mixology, ambiance, and service, captivating patrons with unforgettable experiences,” the awards organisers said.

Paladar in Cork was named as Ireland’s overall Bar of the Year for the second time at the awards ceremony which took place at the Clayton Hotel on Burlington Road in Dublin.
