AS attendance drops during the busy summer period, the Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS) are appealing for new and returning donors to come out and support their upcoming blood donation clinics.

A donation clinic will take place at the Church of Abundant Life on Henry Street (opposite the Garda Station) on Wednesday, August 28 from 3.50pm to 7.10pm.

Another clinic will also take place at the Crescent Shopping Centre on Thursday, August 29 from 3.50pm to 7.10pm.

The IBTS say that it is crucial that donors come out and support as blood reserves in hospitals across the country are running low.
