MUNSTER completed a clean sweep in the Women’s Inter-provincial Series with a 24-29 win over Connacht in Galway the weekend.
Fiona Hayes’ side had the contest wrapped up by the interval, ahead 22-5.
Big scores for the visitors came through captain Chloe Pearse, Chisom Ugwueru, Alana McInerney (2) and Beth Buttimer, while Kate Flannery added a couple of conversions.
McInerney has been the stand-out player of the tournament and has now a haul of six tries in three games.
Muirne Wall was chosen as player-of-the-match in the defeat of Connacht. Munster meet holders Leinster in the Final in Belfast on Saturday next.
