28 TEACHERS from Brazil have come to the Treaty City this past week to undertake a postgraduate diploma at Mary Immaculate College (MIC).

The teachers will undertake a postgrad diploma in education leadership and management, and will spend nine months in Ireland.

The teaching students will have the costs of their stay paid for by the Brazilian government.

Ambassador Fiona Flood told students that “I look forward to hearing about how you will take Ireland with you back to the classroom in Brazil, inspiring future generations of leaders.”

The 28 teachers were selected earlier this year by the CAPES federal funding agency in Brazil.
