Fr. Casey’s make waves in Limerick SFC

FR. CASEY’S are right in the mix for ultimate honours in the Limerick Senior Football Championship following a clear-cut 1-15 to 1-10 win over Kildimo/Pallaskenry at Quaid Park, Coolyroe.

It’s a third victory on the bounce for the westerners who have now advanced to the knock-out stages of the competition.

Eliah O’Riordan (0-5), Adrian Enright and Oisín Woulfe supplied tasty scores for Fr. Casey’s.

Group Two is topped by holders Newcastle West, for whom Emmet Rigter kicked a superb 1-5 (of 2-9) in a defeat of Galtee Gaels (0-8).

And, Alan O’Mahony’s Oola guaranteed senior status for another season with a snug 0-15 to 0-8 victory over Ballysteen in Fedamore

Josh Ryan landed an awesome eight points for Oola.

In Group One, unbeaten Mungret/St. Paul’s were clinical in a 4-8 to 0-6 success over Ballylanders in Kilteely.

The goals arrived through Darragh Bridgeman (2), Darragh O’Hagain and Ciaran Deane.

Elsewhere, Na Piarsaigh pipped Monaleen (1-8 to 0-11) in Rathane and Adare swept past St. Kieran’s, 1-12 to 0-6, in Askeaton.
