LABOUR Party councillor Joe Leddin has asked the Council about the criteria used to monitor roundabouts in Limerick City that are sponsored by corporate organisations.

Cllr Leddin maintained there is quite a difference in the quality and appearance of these roundabouts.

Senior Engineer Aidan Finn explained that the Council has entered into service level agreements with corporate bodies who sponsor various roundabouts around the city.

“The service level agreement is for a period of three years with the option of extending for another three years subject to agreement between both parties.

“The design for the individual roundabouts vary and require different levels of maintenance and have different challenges,” he added.
