IT WAS D-Day for thousands of students across Limerick this Friday (August 23) as they got the results of their Leaving Cert exams.

But while some students showed up at their schools to pick up physical copies of their results, the vast majority logged on at 10am this morning to find their results online.

This is the third year since Covid that the post-marking adjustment to the results have been added and Education Minister, Norma Foley, said it will be the last year that this will happen.

Of the 405,171 Leaving Certificate grades, 68 per cent of all grades increased. This compares to 71 per cent of grades in 2023. The remainder were unchanged.
