THE countdown is on to the greatest Pop Dance Party! The Big Day Out at TUS Gaelic Grounds Limerick on Saturday August 31 sees some huge new attractions added to the day which features Cascada, N-Trance, Basshunter, D:Ream and multi-million dollar selling boyband Five!
The day kicks off from 3pm with The Aperol Spritz “Hott in Here” Tent which will be hosted by 2FM’s Fergal Darcy.
Get ready to dance the afternoon away as Fergal takes you on a musical journey through the greatest hits of the decade.
Fergal will be bangin’ tunes from iconic rock bands like The Killers to dancefloor anthems from Sash and DJ Jean, along with chart-toppers from Lady Gaga, N’Sync and Nelly.
The Aperol Spritz “Hott in Here” Tent promises to be a nostalgic trip down memory lane like no other accompanied by cocktails and great vibes.
But that’s not all! … Fergal is joined live on stage by an incredible live saxophonist and percussion duo, bringing those 00’s vibes to the party.
Fergal’s infectious energy and passion for the era will have you reminiscing about the good ol’ days and singing along to all your favourite tunes.
And if that wasn’t enough, direct from Glastonbury, comes a massive 90’s V 00’s Silent Disco!
In what is definitely the first ever Silent Disco at a GAA Stadium, the mighty 90’s v 00’s battle for your ears will take place under the Clare End stand where 2 DJ’s go head to head to battle it out! You choose which anthem to sing along to!
The party of the summer will be hosted by Mark McCabe who will be performing his iconic ‘Maniac 2000’ and playing some of the largest floor fillers of the 90s and 00s.
After nearly 20 years of filling dance floors across the world with hits like ‘Everytime We Touch’ and ‘Evacuate the Dancefloor’ dance sensations and heroes of the 00s Cascada will be performing some of the world’s best party anthems.
There are extensive bar and food facilities at the grounds.
