Council confirm plans to install speed feedback signs in Mungret

Cllr Dan McSweeney.

LIMERICK City and County Council has confirmed its intention to install speed feedback signage on the Caher Road in Mungret.

At present, the local authority is currently procuring signage for locations within the Metropolitan area.

Welcoming this confirmation, Fine Gael councillor Dan McSweeney said that many residents have raised the ongoing issue of speeding on the Caher Road.

“At present this road is 50km/h and following a speed survey carried out by Limerick City and County Council, significant speed has been identified and warrants traffic calming interventions,” he insisted.
