Carr Street to be closed to facilitate ‘Beat the Street’ event in September

LIMERICK City and County Council has announced its intent to close off Carr Street by the popular Milk Market in Limerick City to facilitate a ‘Beat on the Street’ event hosted by local pub and nightclub The Black Rabbit Bar.

The closure will be in effect for the daylong event from 11am to 6pm on Tuesday September 10. 

The Council has said that alternative routes for road users will be open on Ellen Street, Robert Street, Cornmarket Row, and Mungret Street, and that Carr Street will be open to emergency services at all times.

Objections can be made by email to [email protected] or in writing to the Council’s Roads Administration Team before August 27.
