THE Limerick Historical Society will host its next evening outing on Wednesday of this week (August 21), with an invitation going out to local history buffs across the county to join in for an educational stroll on a summer evening.
Next week’s evening out will see those joining in learn more about the so-called ‘Church of Spite’, along with a walk by Schoolhouse Lane and up O’Connell Street, where discussions will be had on city schools in days gone by and families who lived in the area.
The gathering will meet at 7pm at St Joseph’s Church on O’Connell Avenue on Wednesday August 21.
