Lower speed limit on M20 to ensure safer environment as works commence

The M20 links Limerick and Cork.

A SPEED limit of 60km/h will be enforced on a stretch of the M20 over the coming months to allow for the safe carrying out of road resurfacing works.

That’s according to Limerick City and County Council who announced a Road Works Speed Limit Order put in place for a section of the M20 national primary road – between Junction 1 and 5 westbound and eastbound – until November 2.

A statement from the Council confirmed that temporary speed limit signs are to be erected providing “safer conditions for road users and construction workers” until Saturday November 2.
