FOLLOWING the proposed demolition of a derelict home at Mulcair Drive, Rivers, Annacotty, Limerick City and County Council has expressed its hopes to build six new homes in the suburban village.

The Council gave notice for a Part 8 development, which would see the current derelict home at the site demolished and replaced with six two-bed, single storey, semi-detached homes.

The local authority carried out an environmental impact assessment, with no likelihood of significant effects predicted, and it is now open to any objectors to apply to An Bord Pleanála for a screening determination to discern any such effects.

Details of the plans for the homes are available on mypoint.limerick.ie, and observations on the proposed development can be submitted to [email protected].
