MOTORISTS who use the M20 road are advised by Limerick City and County Council of works that will be undertaken on the road over the coming weeks.
There will be nighttime resurfacing works on the M20 between Junction 1 and Junction 5 until Sunday August 25.
The works began this past Thursday and will continue this Friday evening from 8pm to 6am (August 15), when there will be a full closure of the M20 westbound from Junction 3 to Junction 5.
From Monday evening (August 19) to Friday (August 23), also from 8pm to 6am, there will be a full closure westbound of the M7 at Junction 30 to Junction 3 on the M20.
Sunday August 25 will see a full closure of the eastbound lane of the M20 from Junction 5 to Junction 3.
Limerick City and County Council have apologised for any inconvenience caused, and say that a traffic management plan will be in operation for the duration of works.
Separately, the Council has given notice that it also intends to close the M20/N21 westbound from Monday September 9 to November 30 between Junction 5 (Cork) and the T-Junction with the L-1427 to facilitate pavement remedial works.
The M20/N21 Eastbound between the T-Junction with the L-1427 and Junction 5 (Cork) will also be closed during the same period.
The road will be closed from the hours of 7pm to 6am for the duration of the works.
Diversions will be signposted and Limerick City and County Council has apologised for any inconvenience.
