Limerick people encouraged to have their say on Waterways Ireland biodiversity

Waterways Ireland are looking for people's views for their Heritage and Biodiversity Plan.

PEOPLE across Limerick are encouraged to participate in Waterways Ireland’s public consultation on heritage and biodiversity.

Waterways Ireland (WI) is working on its Heritage and Biodiversity Plan 2030, and is looking for the people of Limerick to give their thoughts to shape the future of Ireland’s waterways.

Dr Paula Treacy, head of environment and heritage at Waterways Ireland said: “The Waterways Ireland Heritage and Diversity plan 2030 seeks to foster a deeper connection between communities and their local waterways.”

People can take part by attending an online webinar, with the consultation open to hearing people’s thoughts and views until October 4.
