Ninth annual charity paddle for Rape Crisis Midwest takes to the Shannon this weekend

RAPE Crisis Midwest hosts its ninth Annual Charity Paddle this Saturday (August 17).

Over 100 participants are taking part – all travelling from Shannon Rowing Club, Annacotty, along the Shannon River to O’Callaghan Strand in the city.

Rape Crisis Midwest provides crisis and long-term support and advocacy to any person that has experienced any form of historical or recent sexual abuse or violence.

Their services include counselling, court accompaniments, and support and advocacy services.

Funds raised by Saturday’s event will go directly to support services delivered by Rape Crisis Midwest.
