Leger Final tops bill at Limerick

CLONBRIEN Treaty will look to defend his WillWeGo.Com Irish St. Leger title at Limerick next Saturday night.

The Graham Holland-trained runner is owned by the Murphy family of Athlacca.

He won his semi-final in a quality time of 29.50 seconds.

Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for Greyhound Racing Ireland, said: โ€œItโ€™s hard to describe how much of an achievement it is to reach back-to-back classic finals nowadays.

Kilkenny handler Paul Hennessy qualified Barefoot On Fire and Jaytee Craze as they grabbed second and third place behind Treaty.

Ventry Faith won the second semi-final for trainer Owen McKenna (Tippeary) and owner Padraig Oโ€™Murchu from Tralee, county Kerry.

He ran the race of his life from trap two to win his first heat of the competition in a time of 29.47.
