A QUINTET of players from Treaty United Academy have been selected for the Republic of Ireland team who tackle Northern Ireland in a friendly fixture with Northern Ireland in Belfast on Sunday next (2pm).
Those chosen for International duty are Aibhilín Cotter, Kate Jones, Chloe Wallace, Madison McGuane, and Grace Ehinger.
Cotter joined from Moneypoint FC/Connolly Celtic FC, Jones from Bunratty Cratloe FC and Ehinger from Knigh United, Tipperary.
Closer to home, defender Wallace was previously with Fairview Rangers and midfielder McGuane arrived from Pike Rovers, with whom she won an Under-12 National Cup title.
All have come through the pathway from the grassroots clubs to their ETP (Emerging Team Programme) and through the Centre of Excellence Programme in Limerick to Treaty United.
