Arren makes the “dumbest, most brilliant music video” for his sunny summer anthem

ARREN is a Limerick songwriter now based in Dublin. His new song is an anthemic, summer track called ‘It Takes One to Know’ which paints a picture of a roller coaster emotion-filled summer of the highs of a sunny blurry holiday with friends with the lows of heartbreak in your early 20’s. Arren has released a brilliantly funny video to promote the song. The video by David Coleman takes place mostly at Spanish Point Beach in Clare. The music video stars Arren as himself, who finds a way of teleporting to the country his girlfriend moved to through a suitcase. But he can only get his arm through. In his mind, he’s a hopeless romantic, but from her perspective, she’s being haunted by this suitcase with an arm that’s following her everywhere.

Commenting on the music video, ARREN said: “We had a lot of fun making this one. I’m not usually comfortable on screen but with this, the idea was so silly that I didn’t mind if my acting was silly either. This is for sure the dumbest, most brilliant music video of all time.”

Commenting on the single, ‘It Takes One To Know’, Arren said, “I hope this song teleports listeners to that one summer trip abroad where you drank a bit too much trying to forget about that one that got away. This song and my upcoming debut 12 track album, ‘Dark Earth’ have been 5 years in the making and explore the ups and downs of your early 20s that I think all of us have in common.
