LIMERICK and Clare Education and Training Board has unveiled one of the most fully functional airplane simulators in the country at its Shannon Further Education and Training (FET) Campus.

The Boeing 737 Max simulator will allow students on the ETB’s Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course to get hands on knowledge of the aircraft.

ETB Chief Executive George O’Callaghan said “the addition of this Boeing 737 Max simulator at our College of FET, Shannon, shows the ETB’s dedication to providing staff and learners with cutting-edge training facilities which will further help to strengthen our status as an Aviation Centre of Excellence in Ireland.”

The simulator is equipped with a fully-functional flight deck designed to replicate the real cockpit environment, giving learners real-world experience.
