Limerick students to take part in Teen-Turn STEM internships

The Limerick students will take part in internships during August.

TEEN-Turn has launched its 2024 summer work experience programme, aimed at getting teens and young girls interested in the world of STEM.

The ‘Teenturnships’ programme sees a total of 81 girls nationwide introduced to mentors from STEM industries working in various companies across Ireland, including BNY Mellon, Dell, and Hostelworld.

Those taking part will come from DEIS schools and will engage in a two-week immersive programme in August.

The programme aims to get girls from areas where third level education is uncommon motivated in an interest in STEM, which the organisation hopes will lead to more women earning STEM qualifications, meeting an essential demand for skills.
