FRS, a multimillion euro social enterprise co-operative, has rebranded to FRS Co-Op.

The group, which employs around 65 people in Limerick, includes businesses across the employment, fencing, government, and training sectors.

FRS Recruitment and WrkWrk, the temporary employment service, operate from an office in Cornmarket Square, while FRS Fencing is based in Bruree.

Turas Nua also has premises in Limerick City and Newcastle West, while FRS Farm Relief has a large team working throughout the county.

Other FRS businesses also active in Limerick include FRS Training, FRS Contract Services, and Herdwatch, a leading farm management app.

Originally founded in 1980 as National Co-op Farm Relief Services (NCFRS), FRS Co-Op employs over 2,000 people across Ireland, and has a turnover of around €100million.

Colin Donnery, Group CEO of FRS Co-Op, said that the rebrand aims to focus on the people-centric aspect of their business.

“We’ve always had deep roots in our local communities, in Limerick and anywhere else that we are active,” he said.

“We know that we grow better together, a belief that is ingrained in everything we do. That is why we wanted the co-op aspect of our business to be more prominent in our new branding.”

“As we look to the future of the business, those ideals will continue to be our key strength. Our mix of local and national experts, combined with an eye on innovation, allow us to work effectively with communities we live in and the businesses we work with, both in Limerick and further afield.”
