Consultation to come on plans for Caherdavin playground

Social Democrats councillor Shane Hickey-O'Mara.

SOCIAL Democrats councillor Shane Hickey-O’Mara asked at this month’s Metropolitan District meeting for an update on proposed plans for a Caherdavin playground.

The City North representative was informed that funding of €410,000 has been allocated for a new playground for the Caherdavin community, consisting of a combination of General Municipal Allocation (GMA) and Development Contributions funding.

“A number of sites have been reviewed and narrowed down,” said Senior Engineer Aidan Finn.

“It is the Council’s intention to hold a consultation with the Caherdavin community on the proposed playground.”

The consultation will be in early September.
