Her brand, launched in 2019, set about to establish a brand ‘inspired by nature, to protect nature’.

Aoife’s brand became the first fashion label in Ireland to achieve BCorp status in 2023, showing her commitment to sustainability.

Earlier this year, the busy designer launched her 10th collection, titled ‘Remember’, inspired by her summers spent in County Clare.

“As always, it starts from County Clare, from my Irish summer, gardening, sea swimming, hiking, and being outdoors. The idea of Remember is all about reconnecting and remembering our connection with nature and remembering our Irish heritage,” she explained.

Ms McNamara graduated from Limerick School of Art and Design, and undertook an internship at Marc Jacobs before starting her own brand in 2019, which has a flagship store in a thatched cottage in Adare.

Her designs make use of Irish fabrics, including Irish woven wool, which has become one of her brand signatures, as well as a collaboration with IrelandsEye knitwear of best-selling Aran jumpers to a suit in her signature Burren pinstripe.
