Limerick to welcome top former rugby player for a night of conversation

Rugby legend Johnny Sexton will visit Limerick for a night of conversation.

RUGBY fans in Limerick are invited to a special evening of conversation with one of Ireland’s rugby legends to coincide with the All Blacks’ visit to Thomond Park.

Johnny Sexton will be in conversation at Limerick’s Lime Tree Theatre on November 1, where he will discuss rugby career and his many ties to Munster Rugby.

The former top player will be speaking to the Irish Times’ Denis Walsh, in association with I.NY.

Following the national launch of his autobiography, Obsessed, in Dublin’s Bord Gais Theatre this coming October, A Munster Invitation welcomes Mr Sexton to Limerick for a night not to be missed for any rugby fan.

The evening will centre on Johnny’s career – one adorned with four European Cups, four Six Nations championships, two Grand Slams, unprecedented victories in the Southern Hemisphere, two stints for Ireland at number 1 in the world, and the World Player of the Year award in 2018.

The event will kick off a full weekend of rugby in the city with the All Blacks’ visiting Thomond Park to play Munster on Saturday November 2.

Only 300 tickets will be sold for the event, so those interested in attending are advised to get their tickets early.

Tickets went on sale this past Tuesday, and are available from the box office at the Lime Tree Theatre.

Copies of Mr Sexton’s autobiography, Obsessed, will also be available for purchase on the night.
