DESPITE a reduction in solar grants, people across Limerick are buying and installing more solar panels than ever, according to new SEAI figures.
Limerick saw a 26 per cent increase in new solar panel installations between April and June this year, with 528 new installations erected.
Commenting on the positive figures, and the โฌ2million spent on solar property upgrades in Limerick alone, EnergyEfficiency.ie managing director James Dorrian said: โThere were concerns that the grant reduction would have an effect on solar installation figures โ however these figures show that demand remains strong as homeowners look to slash their electricity bills.”
