Exhibition: Hot Child – Ormston House

A solo exhibition by Sian Costello opens at 7pm – Costello graduated from Fine Art Painting at the Limerick School of Art & Design in 2020 and has been exhibiting consistently since then. In this exhibition, Costello continues her exploration of representing the female body via performative self-portraiture. Most of the works included were produced while the artist was on residency at Malt AIR visual arts residency programme in Denmark.

Quiz Night for Clare’s Wish – Limerick Lawn Tennis Club  Clare’s Wish Foundation is the only Irish registered charity granting wishes to adults with a terminal condition. They are working on ten such requests at the moment and are raising funds with a quiz led by Limerick magician Leon Andersen.

The Riptide Movement – Dolans  The Riptide Movement was formed in 2006; they are renowned for their phenomenal live shows and have played all over, from the main stage at Electric Picnic to Glastonbury and Benicassim.

Nadja – Dolans Presented By Bad Reputation + Special Guests Partholon And Skellig. Nadja ia a Canadian experimental drone duo based out of Berlin, Germany who offer traces of shoegaze and doom metal amidst their monolithic squall, Toronto-born Nadja is the brainchild (and originally the solo project) of musician and writer Aidan Baker.

Negro Impacto – The Record Room  Alternative RnB duo Negro Impacto with support from Projective, Citrus Fresh and Peter Curtin.

Féile na Gréine Fundraiser – Pharmacia.  Theatre, Péist, Casavettes and Dogwin play live.

Ali Woodford – Blue Bar, Punches Cross

Tríona Horan – Treaty City Brewery  Launch of new single ‘Love Is Love’ from 8.30pm

SATURDAY 27

SWEETS – Dolans  SWEETS launch their highly anticipated eponymous debut album.

Meitheal Finale – TUS Millennium Theatre.  Touring Trad talent with the cream of upcoming stars perform as groups and soloists. Plus an exciting new piece for orchestra by Stephen Doherty.

Muireann Bradley – Dolans.  17 year old finger picking guitarist & singer who grew up in the hills overlooking the Finn Valley outside the town of Ballybofey in County Donegal, Ireland. Muireann performs primarily Country, Ragtime & Piedmont style blues from the 1920s & 1930s.

Inclusive Dance Club – Dance Limerick.  An inspiring creative dance project for young people aged 7-14yrs with a physical disability/learning difficulty.

TUESDAY 30

Cúpla Focal – Celebrating the Irish Language and Culture – Mother Macs Public House.  From 7.30pm immerse yourself in the rich tradition of the spoken word as Gaeilge. Whether you’re a fluent speaker or just beginning your journey with the Irish language, all abilities are welcome to participate.
